Unhappy Solved: copy batch file problem
Running window XP.
Trying to set up a batch file to copy all files from one folder to another folder on a portable drive. (Both .doc and .xls files).

The folder containing the files that I want to copy is "c:\my documents\documents and settings\audit"
The destination folder is "F:\audit"
The folder names appear to be a problem.
Can anyone please help?

Would help if we could see what your current code looks like.
It shouldn't be a problem as long as you are putting quotes around your paths which it looks like you are.

I had not used quotes but had used the following:
XCopy C:\my documents\Documents and Settings\Audit G:\Audit /Y /F

I will try using quotes.

Doesn't hurt to put the quotes around the whole path.

Code:
XCopy "C:\my documents\Documents and Settings\Audit" "G:\Audit" /Y /F
