Can i run batch without showing ?
Hi,

I've written a small batch file,
but when it runs a DOS window opens,
and closes when its done.

Is it possible to run this batch file
without it showing on my desktop ?

Right click on the batch file, make a shortcut and in the shortcut properties set it to run minimized.

Hi Rockn,

Thanks thats much better!

I have two bat files that run on startup, one to copy dir of C to
a txt file, and one to copy some cookies into my cookie file, cos
it gets emptied after spider.
They still show a bit, in the taskbar, but its only brief, thats
much better than the black windows coming and going.
I thought it was possible to run a bat without it showing at all,
but this is ok.

BTW, do you know how to see which files are called up with an
application? I would normally use Process viewer but this one is
a screensaver/game and running it means you can't see Process
viewer! Also this scr is on a 95 system, so theres no quick view.
(i'm on 98se)

Regards, John
