please help!! serious errors
my uncle bought an imac: one of the ones that has everything all together, the monitor and motherboard in 1. i dont know anything about imacs but i do know that in an attempt to delete everything including their personal info from the computer to be put on sale, the owners deleted some system files or something and the computer doesnt want to do much of anything. is there any way to install windows xp or me on an imac? if u can how can i start?if not, what should i do? i think my uncle got ripped off but he really needed a computer. should i tell him to throw it away? because i really cant deal with imacs-no experiance with them. thanx all...

Hi dlg,

I can understand your frustration with imac's, particularly if you are more PC experienced. However, the good news is that you can buy software called Virtual PC for mac. There is an XP version for the mac however, you will need to check compatibility with your mac operating system. What mac operating system do u have. Virtual PC can be quite expensive, but if u know a local software dealer, u may get it cheaper.
Just for assurance, copy this link into your browser and it will show u what I mean.

Also, if your uncle wants to reinstall everything from scratch, he can insert his mac operating system disk into the CD-Rom drive and resart the system and press the letter C and it will boot from the CD and allow you to reinstall Operating system. By clicking software install or something, look for a fancy icon and when u clik that, it will give you an option of deleting existing files/folders etc.
