Question OS 10.2 problem with i Mac
iMac running OS 10.2 has floppy disk drive and Zip disk drive attached to USB ports. Worked OK when first installed 6 months ago. Recently found that the computer does not recognise either disk. Rebooting does not help. However, restarting with OS 9 enables disks to be recognised. Problem reappears when we revert to OS 10. Any ideas?

if you have adminstrator access.
1) disconnect your external devices.
2) Create another account with adminstrator access.
3) Restart and logon to your new account you created.
4) Connect your devices.

They should work now if your problem is caused by corrupted osx system files.
Else, try to connect to a PC and check if they can be detected in windows explorer.

hope this helps
