MacOS Upgrade
Hey My sister just called she wants to upgrade her mac os its currently OS 7.5.5 how much can i upgrade it and were do i buy the disk sorry if i sound stupid ive never used a mac i'm a pc guy!

hi there. please ask her what type of mac she has. Is it a powermac? if so, what kind? 7100, 6500, g3, g4 (not that the g3 or g4 would have such a low system ) a laptop, etc.

Anything with OS 7.5 is very old. I may not be worth updating. Its probably a Performa, and it will be very slow even running os 8.6. I wonder how expensive old ram is for those systems these days.
