I've not use palm for a long time, so I can't say I know what it's currently like.

Windows CE isn't half bad, but I have a few problems with it:
1) Like windows, it needs to be rebooted every once in awhile.
2) When you close programs, you don't actually close them. Instead, they are still running in the background.
3) Pocket word is missing some essential things.
4) It's microsoft, so you get to deal with their crap
