windows 3.1 quicken backup
What is the best way to back up a couple of years of financial information from a Windows 3.1 PC, the financial info is in Quicken

Resources: I have a windows XP PC, 1.4ghz with writable CD rom & broadband connection.

I also have an old windows NT machine that I could rebuild - 4 - 500 MHz, could add a writable CD ROM - thought maybe I could connect her drive as a slave after creating backup in Quicken on her machine.

What is the easiest most cost effective way to do this?

Thanks a bunch!!!!

Hi teresa

I'm not familiar with quicken but doesn't the program have some way she can save the data to a floppy disk? I'm guessing that a program running on windows 3.1 s data won't take up much space as the data is probably only a text file. After you get the data ob a floppy disk you can put it in a system with a cd and burn a disk. Is she going to be running a new version of quicken on the new machine? The file format may not be compatible with any programs besides quicken. BOL
