rebuilding duel proccessor from os 9.1
I currently have no system folder on my mac computer and from advice from a technician have attempted to completely rebuild the system from os 9.1. Having to purchase the disc on ebay as it did not come with computer. Computer is not starting up from disc, all i am getting is blinking question mark icon. Although it will start up with os X. Please can someone help?

Are you holding down the "C" key, as you boot from the disc? Do you have Norton Disc Doctor? If so, run it. It may help. Do you have Disc first Aid on the computer? Run that. See if that will help.
Don't know about OSX........
Can you go to other OS9 folders, while in OSX? If so, try booting in OSX, then put OS9 disc in and open it. Find the system folder on the disc and drag it to where the OS9 stuff is. The blinking question mark means it cant find a system folder. So if you can drag it there through OSX, maybe it will find it on your next try?
Good luck!

BTW.....
When you tried to boot to the disc for OS9, were you booting from the machine being off, or jumping from OSX to OS9? Whichever way you tried it, try the other way. Remember to hold down the "C" key until it boots up.
