Unhappy Classic and Panther OSx and opening stuff
Hey gang,

Basically i've just installed Panther 10.3 and over 9.04 everything seemed to be ok and so i got rid of 9.04. Alas now (don't ask me what i did) when i try to open any application , image, etc a window asks me if i want to open it in classic i have to say yes otherwise it won't open at all but when i do it says 'can't find Classic please install OS 9' but i can't coz i don't have anymore (i have 8.5 though) can somebody tell me how i can just get stuff to open with a good old double click in OSx Panther. Thanks a lot in advance

Ps: I've tried a reinstall

Classic is a program that runs on OSX that allows you to open applications that are OS 9 compatable. Every time you click on an OS 9 program the OS 9 startup screen will appear (unless you choose to hide it). It may take a minute or 2 to register the application on the screen.

Check that there is a classic tab in the system preferences and ensure that you can run it. U shouldnt need to install 0S 9, as Classic comes inbuilt within Panther. Of course, there is also some applications out there that just wont run on OSX atall.
