I heard that OSX, being unix based, has been put on and run on a pc. But, it ran very slow. Not worth the trouble............is what I heard.

No you can't install panther on the second partition. Becuase it is PPC based and not X86 based(Intel, AMD, etc) you need an emulator that is host based. PearPC is the emulator that allows you to run OS X on X86 machines. It is available for Windows and Linux. emoxley is right however , it is extremely slow and unless they released a new version since .2 OS X Panther has a kernel panic when installed, and won't run

You CAN install OSX on a pc...........but extremely slow running.
You probably don't just double click the installer and go with it. It's a bit of a job to set it up to run, but it will work.
