Umm - what exactly is it that you own? Acer makes all sorts of stuff... I didn't notice anything of their simply called "SE", but I may have missed it I suppose.

This may not help, but I have an Acer scanner and everytime my system crashes or I experience some sort of error or fault, my scanner software says something about bad parameters. After talking to Acer tech, they said glitch and to just go to Device Manager and delete scanner and then hit refresh. It then works without a problem. acer cannot tell me how to fix it beyond that. Hope this helps.
