I cannot get dos to recognize my cdrom drive, are there any commands or batch files that would help me?

Yes. For a CDROM to work in DOS mode you need the driver to be installed in your CONFIG.SYS and MSCDEX to be in your AUTOEXEC.BAT.

Do you have a driver disk for the CD?
