Dumb question
I am kind of clueless when it comes to DOS.

What do you type to open a dir and how would you delete it?

cd directory_name {enter}
change directory
you delete the files inside the directory first. Ex. cd dir_name {enter}
erase *.* then go out of the directory and delete it. Ex. cd \ {enter}
rd directory_name
remove directory
Now if you find that there is a directory inside of a directory you must repeat the procedure to remove the nested directories first.
