For Palm, what's the difference between SD and MM card?
I notice some Palm's use both SD and MultiMediaCard. Why would one want or need one over the other?

In other words, what difference does it make which one I choose?

Full explanation here

SD seems the card of choice as MMC seem to have been largely replaced by it. Never see much of MMC these days here.

In the case of the Palm, the advantage of SD would probably be availability and the "write protect" switch. I use a 512 MB SD in my Palm.

Really unless you use the little write protect switch theres not THAT much difference. They have so many memory types and your not going to notice much if ay performance difference from one type to another...

Sad that you are forced to buy 22 in 1 USB card readers these days if you want to read MOST of whats out there.

I say buy for whatever your devices can all use I.E. I buy CF and SD - CF because my camera and my PDA use it SD because my PDA and my laptop use them.

Thanks, I guessed there was no essential or functional difference that amounted to more than a hill of beans; but, I just wanted to be sure.

User opinions are always valuable, more so than just a definition.
