Palm Email
Hi -
I just got an older Palm VIIx (for free so I'm not complaining about it's limitations) and I'm very new to it but I want to Synch the Email and it only runs Netscape Communicator and I'm using Explorer.
Do I need to download netscape communicator and use that when I want to access my mail or will it accept it through Explorer?
Also - if I buy the modem dock is that the best way to do it if I'm not using wireless?
And will this model support the TCPMP player?
Thanks!

Explorer is not an e-mail program.

I realize that - what I'm asking is if I need to use netscape communicator to access my email on the Palm since that is the only option given or since it offers another option of the desktop overriding the Palm will it then allow me to access my email through Explorer?

First question. Why do you want to sync e-mail to the Palm? You realize that you can only read and write replies but not actually send and receive e-mail on it, right?

Second, you keep mentioning "Explorer". Do you mean you have a web-based e-mail account that you access through Internet Explorer the web browser? If so, you cannot synchronize that to the PDA since it's not even on your computer. If you have it downloaded to an e-mail program on your computer (like Outlook), you might be able to use a 3rd party utility to synchronize, but given the age of the device, it's unlikely.
