How would you remove a file without using DEL or DELETE please?

TIA

Why do you need to do that? DEL is a built-in command of the DOS command file. If you have DOS you must have the DEL command.

To answer your question, I would use the Windows interface (assuming you have that) and right-click over the file and select the "Delete" command.

Or, using DOS commands, you could MOVE the file to a temporary directory, and then use the RMDIR /S command to remove the directory, including the file(s) there.
