windows not seeing ipaq h2200
Just purchased a used Ipaq h2200 from online. I got it here and it works fine powers up and everything, I plug it in to my windows xp machine and there is a little balloon that pops up saying that windows could not detect this hardware. click here for support. So i do that then it just brings me to the quick removal USB device. I surffed around on hp.com to see if there were any drivers out there. and I came back with nothing any ideas?

You have to load activesync on the PC.

I have activesync 4.1 currently it aswell does not see the device, it is almost like it is not plugged in. I made sure the USB connection succure, as well the connection from the PDA to the cord.

EDIT: it states under the device mananger that there are no drivers for this device. Know where i can get them? HP.com does not have anything like that

There are no "drivers" for newer Windows Mobile devices. The only thing you need is activesync then when you pulg it in activesync loads whats needed to see the device. I would uninstall it and reinstall Activesync. Also try 3.8 instead of 4.1 in case its 4.1 causing you problems. Also when you remove it from being connected make sure its not still showing in yoru device manager if it is remove it from there as well before you try and reinstall and reconnect.

Ok so i have done all that StumpedTechy, It worked! but then I took it off of the cradle made added a contact in the PDA, stuck it back on the cradle, and activesync did not even know that it was there. A usb error poped up saying 'somethings wrong'

Is your PC having any other USB related problems? Do you have any other USB items that are acting flakey? Have you tried the cable in another USB port?

Well it can be the laptops USB is underpowered slightly. A mouse has hardly any power draw and the PDA's are big power suckers.... you may want to try this on a full sized PC to see if this changes how it behaves and if it works fine there maybe invest in a powered USB hub?
