Question G3/300 and losing time
My wife's G3 has been losing (and on occasion gaining) time for the last several months; I use AutoClock to correct the time. I was running the program weekly and was generally off about 2-3 secinds. But I started seeing 30-40 seconds PER DAY; my G4 is still in the range of 1-2 seconds, or even correct.

I have reset the log, several times, in case the Mean Clock Deviation is off, but I still keep getting the big ranges.

Can't be battery as date is always correct, and G3 is always plugged in.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello,
Even though the date does not change it does not mean that the CMOS battery is going bad, I would advise to write down your CMOS settings than replace the battery. It should correct the problem. Let us know what happened.
