cell phone internet
I wanted to know if there was any way to connect a motorola a1200 to my own router so that i wont be charged for using the provider's internet.

just interested what do you get from the phone you cant get on a PC - thats connected to the internet anyway

My dad wants me to put a dictionary onto his phone. It requires internet on the phone for activation.

No, you can't connect a cell phone to a router. If the software is meant to be installed on a cell phone, you should have some sort of internet-type access on the phone to activate it.

Download it with system, and use motorola phone tools to transfer to phone via USB cable.

I would think that any computer dictionary wouldn't be compatible with the a1200.

I've looked around and this looked like the best place for what you are looking for.
