Outlook 2001 and printing
We have this issue that I want to share with all the Mac users out there. Please help

Hardware:
iMac DV
Brother HL-1440 printer

Software:
OS 9.1
Office 2001
Downloaded (latest) version of Brother HL-1440 driver
Downloaded Outlook 2001 from Mactopia

...printer works fine on all apps except Microsoft Outlook. When you print something from within Outlook, the printer will not reply -- you'd think that nothing happened with your print job. You then have to go to chooser to choose a different printer (1200 or 1600, although they all have the same driver [1440]) and then print a dummy page from another application -- Internet Explorer or Word for instance.

The email that you were trying to print out from Outlook beforehand will come out followed by the dummy page that you printed out.

I have already downloaded and installed the latest drivers off of the Brother website, and it was doing the same thing.

you have to bear in mind that Outlook is a Beta Application. Perhaps a bug?

Thank you for the reply, but fortunately, the user preferred to use Eudora. This did not fix the problem, just a work around, but then I did not know that Outlook 2001 was a beta.

I am just confused why they would not give Entourage the ability to connect to an Exchange server. I mean they already have Outlook Express, so why would they bring another type of communications piece in the Office suite if it will be incomplete.

... then again it is Microsoft.
