Smile Problem In Batch file..........need help
Hi,

we have developed a application in java.
To run this application a suer have to install it.
After installation it will make a batch file on that machine.
When a user clicks on that batch file this file will execute the jar file using JAVA_HOME environment variable.

My problem is that this application is build on jdk1.5.0.
So when a user run that batch file I have to check that jdk version must be 1.5 or letter.
Is there anyway so that i can read java vrsion in batch file and then compaire it and shows a warning using echo.

it's urgent...........plz help.

How is the java version presented? Why can't the application simply check and exit if the version isn't correct?

How about forcing it to install an updated version of Java?
