Trying to install win98 from bootcd
I got a laptop with win NT on it and deleted the partition with NT on it, now im trying to re install win 98 with an old install cd i have, when i try to boot from cd rom it says device driver not found "OEMCD001" and it takes me to a: which is my default cd rom drive on the laptop, am i using the wrong cd or am i having some kind of problem because i deleted the partition with NT on it? should I create a new partition before trying to install or just leave the hard disk with no partitions?

you need to boot to a bootdisk to create a partition using fdisk and follow the prompts.

reboot, then format, c:..enter

reboot with cd support, change directories/cd to the cd player, type setup and the install should start.
