Windows XP SP2, Roaming Profiles and Palm Pilot Sync issues.
I'm working as a tech support person in a corporate Windows XP (Pro SP2) environment with roaming profiles, and a number of our users keep loosing their ability to sync their palm devices. The users will be fine for days and even weeks, then one daythe system will refuse to acknowledge the presence of the palm device until the Palm Desktop is re-installed.

This is a real issuew for one of our users since he has some specialized data recording software that needs to be synced reliably each time he comes into the office. All users are Power Users on the network, which means that each time they need to re-install IT Support (me) needs to give them temporary Admin rights before they are able to re-install the applications.

Any ideas about what could be causing these systems to suddenly stop syncing?

Post relates to: Treo 700P; Palm M105
