Perplexed by the Order of execution
Help!!!

I have a DOS batch file that contains 2 job steps. Each job step is a call to a Java class. The Java class then executes an Oracle package.

The problem is: it would appear that based on logged events the second job step is being run first.

To make matters worse, the DOS batch file is execute by the standard Microsoft scheduled task manager.

Any clues as to why the second job step runs first?

No, not at all. But: if you shout Help!!! you have problems, so we might as well add our salt. Question: task manager and Java = Windows; which version? Question: Do you need to have it on schedule executed at all? If not, kick it out of the task manager and run it by hand, only then when you really need it. Question: show a copy of the batch file, so we might split it up or write it around, if that does not interfere with the proper functioning.
