Pasting in MS DOS
Hi, was wondering if it's possible to paste in something you copied into ms dos on XP such as a folder path to save time typing it out when it's ridiculously long.
Thanks

Not sure if i understand the question or not, but it sounds like you want to copy the folder path from, lets say Windows Explorer into a CMD window. All you have to do is right click where you want to paste it in the CMD window and hit paste. If it is reversed then you would right click the CMD window choose Mark highlight what you want then click cntrl + C on the keyboard.

Hope that answers your question.

(Assuming you already know about the usual Windows select text and Ctrl+C command to Copy into the buffer...)
To paste into the DOS window, right-click in the DOS window and select "Edit>Paste"

To copy from the DOS window,
right-click inside the DOS window and select "Edit>Mark"
then move your mouse over the text in the DOS window.
At that time left-click and drag over the text to highlight,
and when it is all selected, just press the Enter key.
That places the selected text into the Windows buffer, where you can paste into typical Windows applications with the usual Ctrl+V.

Note: the selection of text inside the DOS window does not have to be complete lines.
You actually can copy a square block of text, from the middle of a couple or more lines tall.
Code:
DOS example 1234567890
just the text abcdefghij
in the red ABCDEFGHIJKL
