Win Mobile 5 PPC6700 new message err
On my Win Mobile 5, with my PC 6700, when I click on my folders, under TEXT MESSAGES, the Outbox shows (1) new message, yet there is nothing in there. I would imagine this information is stored in the reg? I want to get rid of it, and am thankful in advance in resetting it.

(Example)

-Text Messages
|- Deleted Items
|- Drafts
|- Inbox
|- Outbox (1)
|- Sent Items

Just a hunch, but try creating a new message so it goes into the Outbox, let it recount, then delete it.

I have actually had a message take a while to go out, and it stays in there (giving a count of 2). If I send a message, it hits my outbox for about 1 to 3 seconds before it jumps to the send box.

I just did a search on this, and there was another guy who had an SMS in his outbox that refused to delete, and as such, kept getting repeatedly sent over and over again. The M$ guy said that they're probably stored in a database of some sort, and that a hard reset was probably the easiest solution (which is how the guy fixed it.)

So I guess if something goes wrong with this system, it's a PITA to reset it. Maybe be glad you don't have the problem that other guy did.

Anyway, this is way beyond my experience at this point. Hopefully someone else knows something about this and can help. Good luck!

Well, I thank you for looking into it. I would imagine that there has to be a reg entry or a file or something somewhere that tells the system the new message count. As to how mine ended up stating there is one new outbound message when none are in there, well, thank goodness for Microsoft products

Your research is well appreciated!
