Have Hitachi G1000 power is on but OS won't operate!
Heilsa!

I haven't been to this community in awhile but I have a new issue concerning a Hitachi SH-G1000 Pocket PC put out for Sprint. It was given to me as the owner could not even get it to come on at all.

I have been able to get it to come on by not just using the reset on the back, but looked online, and found out how to initialize it again a "Hard Reset" I guess it is called. Through the back within the area of the battery housing there is the initializing switch to be used if the normal reset does not work. Of which the user's guide showed.

It now comes on but Windows won't power up. All it has is an image and the Sprint logo and copyright at the top of the screen and the Hitachi name at the bottom. I have exhausted all, known to me, Hitachi and Sprint avenues for technical support that I have found so far.

I also hooked it up to my PC to get my Windows to detect it and set up drivers for it thinking that might help but Windows on my PC wouldn't even register it (new device) etc... Nothing!

None of the features, buttons etc... work! It's just on! I hit the reset in the back again the other day and it totally shutdown and wouldn't come back on. So I left it off and unplugged for a couple of days and plugged it back in and it is on again but still no OS and nothing working.

Does someone know what to do to get this thing going? This is a neat device and I would like to use it.

Ves Heill!
