Open a DOS prompt, put a blank 3.5" floppy in your floppy drive, and type:

SYS A:

When it finishes, type:

CD\WINDOWS\COMMAND

Then type:

copy sys.com A:

copy format.com A:

You now have a boot disk capable of booting your laptop and installing the basic DOS system files on it. Boot up the laptop with the newly created boot disk and type...

FORMAT C: /s

(Note: This will format the hard drive and destroy all data on the drive)

Or, if you just want to put system files on without formatting, then type:

SYS C:

Voila!
