mac password
Ok im stuck,
I bout a mac desktop last year for my daughter from work.
it must have had a password from the guy that set it up but my daughter says she would always just click past it. well this weekend it decided it wants the password and wont let her in and her homework is in there. I called the guy that set it up but it was so long ago he doesnt remember..any ideas how to get in this machine? my daughter is about to disown me cause i cant get in it...now if it was a pc i could hack in but macs are so unkown to me...thanks in advance...greg

Restart the computer. As soon as you hear that "mac chime" hold down the left shift key. continue to hold it until the computer boots up. You should be able to at least get into the system to retrieve that homework.
