IE favorites disappeared.
My favorites & history in IE 5 for Mac disapeared. Every time I quit IE and reopen it all the favorites and history are gone. I have deinstalled 5.0 and reinstalled the newer 5.2.1 and the same thing happens. I also cannot use IE help as nothing comes up in the window. Any ideas?

Hi yug -

Take a look at this link from Microsoft's Knowledge Database. Perhaps it has to do with the name of your hard drive in Mac.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
I think that was the problem. The problem went away, but I think it did so as a result of my renaming my hard drive a week or so after my grandson(1.5yrs.) was banging away on the keys and ended up naming the hard drive without letters or numbers. I didn't think to change it right away as I didn't know it would cause a problem. I would never have thought of that as the root of the problem.
