Talking Scanners for iMac G4 on OS Jaguar
Can anyone tell me where to find drivers for a Microtek 3800 scanner, if they are available? If they are not, please tell me where I can purchase (on line or in the UK) an OS Jaguar compatible scanner! Thanks. I tried to use the Microtek 3800 but it didn't function with OS Jaguar, only OS9! Thanks.

This is the site for the drivers, though bit lost here myself

http://www.microtekfiles.com/english...htm#scanwizard

Which version of ScanWizard do you have?

Regards

Hiya

Got an email:

Thanks for your message. I've got the Microtek 3800 which uses, I believe, ScanWizard5. I've tried to find newer drivers to work on OSX but cannot find any. If you know of any different scanners that are already OSX compatible, I'd be very grateful for your 'direction'. Many thanks,
Are you on the new OS Jaguar, which is OS10X?

If so, I'll do some indepth searching

Hiya

Just got an email

Quote:
Dear Eddie

Thanks for your follow-up message. I do indeed have OSX Jaguar - I've actually held on to my Microtek scanner and will wait for some Mas OSX drivers to be prepared - I spoke directly to Microtek yesterday and they said that there are OSX Jaguar drivers in the pipeline so for the time being I'll struggle on using
it with OS9. Thanks a mil for all your help.
Okay dokay
