sound
I am running Windows Me and have no sound. When I go to control panel/sound and select a sound than try to play it there I get this message - windows cannot play the sound c:/windows\media chord wav. Your sound card may be in use. Also I am not able to adjust the volume on the bar, plus the show volume control on the taskbar is blacked out.
From the system properies/device/ sound, video and game controllers/ listed there is Wave Device for Voice Modem and it says it is working properly. But right above that is listed Other Devices/ under that CM18330\C3D Audio Adapter is listed 4 times with the yellow mark- and when I look it says driver not installed. I have no idea what that is and would it be safe to remove those 4? Does anyone know what I can do to correct this? Thank you.

After downloading the driver you guided me to, how do I go about installing it and what file does it go in?? Also, should I remove the 4 entries that are in with the YellOW mark now under other devices, prior to installing the new driver? thank you
