Can't install win 95 with floppys.
Hi, I have the entire set of floppy diskettes for windows 95, but none of them will actually get the computer to boot to them. Is there a bootable floppy disc that I need?

Thanks!

is this an upgrade set or a full set of floppies - trying hard to remember

-------
you may need to change the bios to boot the floppy first

or

you may need to get a windows 95 boot disk
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

then when the machine is booted
you can put the first windows 95 floppy in and point to it
c> a:
then run the install from there

if they are upgrade floppies, they will need an OS on the PC, used to be windows 3.11

is there an OS already on the PC ?

I'm trying to remember how I used to build Pcs back in 3.11 and win95 days with upgrade....
I think I just had to have the 3.11 floppy

anyway

it would be worth making the boot floopy
and then try running the instal program from the windows 95 floppy
A:\install.exe
