win98 can't find pcmcia card
Hello,
I recently installed windows 98 on my old old laptop:P
But!..
I tried a lot of things to get an internet connection.
But I couldn't do one thing because my laptop says: 'Insert a PCMCIA card' while I already have one (even two sometimes) in my laptop.
I installed the driver.

My PCMCIA car is:
BenQ AWL100

and it is compatible with win98.

Can someone please help me?

Many Thanks.
Sluijsens

Welcome to TSG!!

What drivers did you install? The NIC drivers? What about the laptop's chipset drivers? Possibly PCMCIA drivers?

Try looking on the laptop manufacturer's Web site for your chipset and/or PCMCIA drivers. The circuitry for the PC Card slot may not be installed, or up-to-date enough.
