Folder changed to 32kb file
I was just checking out my marriage pics and i noticed that a folder that containted some photographs named "Court Wedding" has changed to this 32kb file with no program associated with it. These are some very imprtant pics. There are also some other folders, mostly mp3 files and pics which have faced the same fate.
I pray that somebody please help me to retreive this one folder. The rest of the folders are not that relevant.

Thank you.

I'm on Windows XP SP3

Try running "chkdsk /f" from the Start|Run window. It will ask you if you want it to run on the next startup. Tell it yes, and restart your system.

If the folders are on a different drive than your boot files, you'll need to include the drive letter. (Example: chkdsk e: /f, where the drive you want to check would be the E: drive.) If the drive is completely available (no operating system parts on it) it will run right then without the restart.
