CPU usage oscillates in weird pattern
I have a Win2k sp4 system with little running on it. It's been running a bit slow so I looked at the task manager and found something very bizarre. The CPU usage was varying from 0-100% but it was creating a sine wave pattern on the performance map (see below). Upon checking the process list, I found that it was "system" that was doing the deed with only a small amount of memory in use. Any ideas as to what could be causing this strange pattern?
