Exclamation the application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000005 help please
i am running on a windows 2000 professional 5.0.2195 Service Pack 4 Build 2195
Dell OptiPlex GX620.

now i have downloaded a .exe in this cause a includes file for spybot. when i try to launch this exe it gives me this error. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_ENnlcuNXqmE/SvaUlwkJc1I/AAAAAAAABA0/1W6q7_I_hL4/error%20copy.jpg]error image

i have tried re-downloading it but still not working. any help would be good. an guide with images would be even better

it could be a memory problem, or virus
is this spybot download compatable with win2k ????
was the reason you are downloading spybot because you have a virus/malware problem

you could try running memtest
download UBCD4win http://www.ubcd4win.com/
you will need a working PC and CD writer and a CDR
download the ISO
right click on it and Burn onto a CD
now boot this CD - it has lots of tests on it - including memory test

have you run a virus checker on the machine
