Question Solved: windows ME wireless problem
I have the Netgear WG111v3 USB wireless adapter installed on windows ME, now i can access all of my network shares, like all of my music, pictues, and home videos stored in the shared documents folder of my Grandpa's machine (running XP and hard wired to the wireless router) but i can't get online, so i was wondering if some one could help me.

(specs: dual boot NEC Ready 9945, Windows ME: 2GB HDD ATI Rage IIc AGP graphics, Windows XP: 6GB HDD ATI Rage IIC AGP Graphics)

I assume the XP machine is working online OK - please confirm

Its been a long while since i used ME

Lets see an ipconfig /all - should work on ME - if not use winipcfg

start>
programs>
command prompt> - may be under accessories
a black command box should open

the you should be able to type
ipconfig /all
or
winipcfg

post the results here
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

also try the following ping tests - again in the command black window

{Ping Tests}
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post results here

Type the following command
Ping google.com
Post back the results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

Type the following command
Ping {plus the number thats shown against the default gateway shown in above ipconfig /all}
Post back the results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

Type the following command
Ping 209.183.226.152
post back results
rightclick in the box
select all
enter
control key + C key - to copy
then reply here and
control key + V to paste

whats the make and model of the router and modem you are using
and would you detail how everything is connected

you have two sets of IP adress 10.0.x.x and 192.168.x.x

which appears to be two different routers

RE: windows me wireless problem
here's why thats different, windows 2000 has bluetooth enabled, which is why i have 192.168.x.x, and 10.0.x.x, but in windows me, i don't have bluetooth, i have a Belkin wireless n router, and my modem is a Siemens Speedstrem 4100 with SBC Global internet (now AT&T) the wireless router gives out ip addresses from 10.0.0.2-10.0.0.100, the ipconfig /all shows that my wireless router is giving windows me the ip address 10.0.0.14, which lets me access all of the shares from any ip address with 10.0.x.x, but not the internet, which i can't see why.
