So, I've usually mounted ISO's using alcohol 120%, but today my little brother mess up his computer enough to require a full wipe/reinstall. Since the most up to date windows cd i could find was 95, i decided to install 95 for him. Unfortunately, the cd of 95 i did have lacked a large number of important files (including format.exe, fdisk.exe, among others) so I downloaded an iso of windows 95 (specifically the windows 95 b iso) from
http://www.bootdisks.us/windows-95/9...cd-images.html. My first attempt, i simply burned the iso onto a disc and got a disc containing only the file win95b.iso. My secod attempt, I mounted win95b.iso onto Alcohol 120%, i opened the E: drive (the one alcohol made) and copied those files onto another cd. This seemed to work; I booted from this disk and used fdisk to delete the primary partition, then proceeded to create another partition. The computer asked me to restart, so I did. for some reason, the cd drive was now named A: (even though this computer has a floppy drive), and upon startup the computer would say:

It started out in drive A: which has 28 files, however I could switch to drive R:, which has 31 files, but switching to c: gave an error. I have no idea what the two drives (A: and R:) are, and the files that appear on R: but not on A: are command.com, deltree.exe, and drvspace.bin. Now i didnt realize anything was wrong when this first happened, so I formatted C: to get it ready for installing windows 95. Formatting C: allowed me to switch to C:, but C: was completely blank, and nothing I did seemed to install windows. I looked up the proper way to burn an ISO once i realized that this weird A: drive R: drive thing wouldn't let me install Windows, and I was disappointed to find that it also didn't recognize any other cd that I put in. Now I've tried deleting the only partition without restoring it, but still, it won't recognize any cd I put in as bootable other than the catastrophe of a windows 95 boot cd, and I'd like to be done fixing my little brother's comp as soon as possible.
