WMP Series Compatiabilty with Easy Cd Creator 4?
I need to get the Windows Media Player Series on my ME Desktop that is Compatible with The Easy Cd Creator 4. I think it is probably Series WMP 7 for Windows (ME). Can someone please provide the procedure to obtain the above objective. Right now I have WMP 9 Series on my ME Desktop and I cannot burn CD's using the Easy CD Creator 4.

You will probably need to either 1) revert to Windows Media Play 7, 2) upgrade Windows ME to XP, 3) or upgrade your version of Easy CD Creator 4.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Can you please provide the procedure to revert to WMP 7 without loosing the presently installed music On WMP 9. Do I have to delete WMP 9 and then install WMP 7. If so, Do I loose my music?

How can I upgrade Easy CD Creator 4? Is there a website?
Sincerely

Roxio Easy CD Creator 4 is a very outdated third-party CD burning program. I've already checked the Roxio site, and there's no updates and support for it.

I doubt very seriously that Windows Media Player 9 is preventing it from working properly, and it shouldn't be downgraded to an older version.

The problem you're going to have with upgrading Roxio is that you're using Windows ME.

There may be a select few free CD burning programs out there that work with Windows ME, but most of them only work with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7.

If you're willing to download and install and try it out, this CD burning program works with old Windows versions:

ImgBurn 2.5.1.0

Dear Sir,
I see from your profile picture that you are a grandfather. I am also a grandfather of two twin boys, who are 9 years old. They have been visiting and I have not been able to try your suggestons. I have kept them busy with the Wii games. They like Star Wars and the Mario games. The boys came with their father. We were trying to burn some music CD's for him, however, we ran into some problems. Perhaps you can offer some suggestions as to correct the problems.
It is my wife's computer. She has a Dell 1545 Inspiron with Windows XP PRO. The Windows Media Player is Version 11. Our problem is that we can not burn an Audio CD. We are not receiving any error messages. Our approach is as follows:
1.0 Click and drag songs to the burn list.
2.0 Insert blank CD-R for the Audio burn.
3.0 Click on start burn and nothing happens.
4.0 Then, I am unable to get the blank CD from the tray when I press the release button.
5.0 I have tried several blank CD's. Still no burn.
6.0 I have to shut down the PC and reboot before I can get the tray to give up the CD.
Some additional information. As the PC is shutting down it shows that a Microsoft Windows Update is in progress. I should not think this should cause a problem, however, I mention it for what it is worth.
Please offer some suggestions to correct this CD burning issue problem.
Thank you

I've never used Windows Media Player 11 for burning audio or data to CD-R's, so I can't address the issue you're having with your wife's computer.

You might consider downloading and installing and using Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.77 Free for burning CD-R's. It's very user-friendly and does a very good job.

I downloaded the ImgBurn Program to my old desktop with Windows ME OS. Now, I have a question? How do I get the music files from my Windows Media Player Program to the ImgBurn Program so that I can burn the music files to a CD? Thank you again for your valued help.

I've never saved music files with Windows Media Player, so I can't advise you the steps for burning them to CD-R's.
