ikernel.exe

Recently reinstalled the computer - Dell Dimension 2400 series with Windows XP. A lot of drivers and programs cannot be installed as ikernel.exe cannot be found. Tried to manually convert ikernel.ex_ to ikernel.exe via the command prompt but that's been unsuccessful too. Also downloaded ikernelupdate.exe which doesn't seem to be making any difference. Help would be much appreciated

Error in Ikernel.exe When You Install Programs By Using InstallShield

At the command prompt, the following message appears: "Destination is not a directory".

What do I type exactly? - Am using the C: (no partitions) and am searching for the ikernel file.
