Batman Arkham City problems
Hi there I am having some problems with batman as it keeps crashing as soon as it reaches the menu, I don't even press a button and it crashes, I have tried lowering the graphics settings, turning of v sync and running in windowed mode and it still has the same problem. I am using the retail version of the game and my specs are : Adm phenom ii x4 820 @ 3.2ghz, HD 6950 GPU, 6GB DDR3 RAM and windows 7 os.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Do you have the newest update? There was one specifically to fix that problem, I believe.

A patch fixed a similar problem for me. Also, if you wait more than a few seconds after he flips up onto the gargoyle before you hit start for the menu, that has also worked to get me to the menu too.

I do have the latest patch and it was still happening after and before the patch and I have tried not pressing anything and the best I can get to is when all the bats fly past the screen and the game title comes up then it crashes everytime .

Does it crash to desktop or reboot the computer? Is there a blue screen of death?

When was the last time you updated your Bios? I just fixed a crash/reboot issue I was having with Deus Ex and Saints Row 3 by updating mine, and I had just updated a month or so ago.

Did it just crash to desktop or it also gave you an error? If yes please copy the error here.

Firstly try updateing your graphics drivers. Turn off SLI / Crossfire, disable AA and filtering. Let me know if there's any improvement

Edit: also try to install the latest GFWL redistributable : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...s.aspx?id=5549

Then I'm out of ideas, sorry. Try to contact the developers, maybe they can help.

I'm afraid I can't think of anything else either. Your system should play it no problem.

In conclusion we have pretty much ruled out most of the common problems with the game. It's either your original games fault ( unlikely ) or you didn't go through all of the mentioned tips above. I myself had some issues with the game but after a while googling I was able to get it working. So if you have the original bought game that won't work with our tips you should ask your resellers for some advise since I think the problem lies within your drivers/installation or the dvd. If it's pirated then we can't help
