#17 | I don't suggest getting Battle field 1942, because alot of gamers have tons of issues downloading and playing that game, most EA games suck anyways. so i'd go for World of warcraft, if you're into MMORPG, or Call of duty for FPS | | Senior Member with 199 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2004 Experience: Beginner |

It's all formal and there's gonna be a gift table and everything and I wanted to get him something he could just open and play. Anyway, I think I'm just gonna get him Act of War because it comes out at the right time, and if he doesn't like it, oh well. He's got almost every other RTS game, can't see why he wouldn't want this one. | | Senior Member with 168 posts. | | Join Date: Feb 2005 Experience: Semi-Literate |

#25 | Nah...The best is Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, expansion to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. My brother got me the battle chest. There are 4 races, and expansive campaigns. There's also a lot you can do with the editor - create new units, edit units, make units walk 20 feet off the ground (well...5 inches), colour units to make them any colour within your computer's limits, make new items, macros to make units spawn and come at your base - Tower Defense; RPGs where you kill monsters and level up, hero units that gain levels and abilities...
Get your friend Warcraft III, the best RTS game! | | Junior Member with 11 posts. | | Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Michigan Experience: Advanced |

#27 | Act of War Definately you gotta try Act of War! I tried it because I saw this really cool trailer for it that was done soo well! I am glad that I did!! The graphics are awesome and the storyline is freakishly realistic! But it is one of the best RTS games I have ever played and I cant wait for it to come out! Sorry I was gonna put up a link to the trailer but I am not allowed to! | | Senior Member with 316 posts. | | Join Date: Jan 2003 Experience: Einstein |

#28 | If he's already an RTS fan it's likely he already owns warcraft III. Act of war i've been hearing good things about, and there's also a new game about the battle of bull run, I believe. | | Member with 73 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Saint George, UT Experience: Advanced |

#29 | OK, I love RTS games and the Act of War demo is OK, but am I the only one that thought C&C: Generals just didn't seem to have the magic of the original Command and Conquer games?? The latest RTS that make me giddy like a little school girl all over again is definitely Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. That game rocks! | | Junior Member with 17 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: louisiana Experience: Intermediate |
