call of duty isn't an RTS game, and C&C generals was a headshaking disgrace to westwood, imo

Try Ground Control. Fantastic game, pure strategy, no resource gathering (There's a ground control 2 also, check it out first)

Sorry I was gonna put up a link to the trailer but I am not allowed to!
From what I have seen on the Atari boards, Act of War is one big pos at release, it's already had 2 MAJOR patches and they are not sure it has fixed the ONE huge bug that makes it unplayable!

Not to mention that people are having huge authentication issues that requires a dl!!!

I think I will wait for 6+ months before I even think about buying it.

Another software developer releases a game WAY to early.

The fanboi's are harping on how atari is as good as Blizzard!

I would say they are slightly better than Cornered Rat Studios.

Stay away from Act of War for at least 6 months. Maybe longer.

Starcraft + Rome Total War
Rome total war seems good, i'm a longterm starcraft broodwar player, that is by far the best RTS.
I personally don't like ground control, though some do. Counterstrike is a 1st person shooter.
Red alert--ok, reminds me too much of starcraft which in that case i play starcraft.

I wouldn't buy games before checking IGN and other sites reviews. They did not like that game I wouldn'tv bought it in the first place. So for future reference check reviews before you buy.
