You need the 1.4 full patch here

http://www.ea.com/official/battlefie.../downloads.jsp

will it play single play?
When it crashes when it's loading or as soon as you click join server.

I dont even get to the server screen. It just says its connecting and it just keeps going and going. There shouldn't even be bugs with the game in thefirst place. Thanx for ur reply i really appreciate it alot. If u could keep talking to me about this if i have anymore problems i would really appreciate it.

I don't use the ingame server finder I use Qtracker to find servers close to me.It takes a bit to set up but go right to the server you join doing the login bit as well.
http://www.qtracker.com/
I think its having trouble connecting to the servers you pick the ingame broswer is not very good.
Did you say if single play works?

If you decide to use Qtracker after you install, it goes through setup help just check these.
click view settings check these
1)installed games BF2 ticked and Directory C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe if thats where its installed
2)auto login hilite BF2 and put your username and password in.
3)In server listing/ regions put a X on all areas but yours

I got a few extra things like mappacks pic's and filters but you shouldn't need them yet

The thing is when i installed the game i did single player. I didn't like the graphics because they were so choppy. So i switched them all to high and it said that the game as to adjust it or something. And then it brings me to a screen where i have to type a username and password. Do i have to enter in the name i chose to register the product? Will the 1.4 patch help me? Thnx again.

The game is already installed, correct? In that case, you can just apply the patch.
