Well i love to play mmo's but hate paying monthly fees for me the best online game is probably Runescape even though its not COMPLETELY free its still fun to play.

You can look at the list in this website and find a few more sweet MMORPGs. All the good MMORPGs prompts you to download a server client, so be aware that you will have to burn lots of HD space.

a great site is Mudconnector.com, (sp) I play Wheel of Time MUD and if you have read the books, its pretty close. It isnt totally like the books due to playability issues.

Well, I prefer Silkroad than Runscape. Better graphics and more spectacular, though you do have to download it (its free). I ended up tored of the too simple graphs os RS, although abilities like smithing, farming or crafting wont ve found on Silkroad. Silkorad is more combat oriented, while in RS, you can do a whole bunch of other stuff, however, RS ends up been short after completing the few quests, to acces the rest of the world, other cool stuff and the rest of abilities, you've gotta pay 5$ per month.

If you want to kill time and like a simple kiddish non pvp game, Maplestory. Other then that, i would say Gunbound for a game similar to worms, Gunz for third person shooter, and SpaceCowboy for a different game where you fly a ship instead of running around with a gun or sword.

well they have upgraded RS ALOT graphic wise since clasic version
