Question help with usb and graphics
My computer has developed a problem recently where whenever i plug in my gamepad it would cause my game to crash, it would only happen in the games i used it in (assassins creed, rfactor, pro evo and Dirt). After this it started turning off my graphics card as i plugged it in. the pc kept running and the monitor was fine if i plugged it into my laptop, but i got nothing on the screen except a "no signal" message, so i no it must be the graphics card, mustnt it? anyway i figured it was the gamepad so i ordered another one. the problem is now my guitar hero controller is doing the same thing, turning off my graphics card, so i have no idea how to fix it.
PC Specs

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+(2.4 Ghz)
1x1GB DDR2 667Mhz Ram
Nvidia 8600GT factory o/c 650Mhz
500w power supply

ne other specs u think mite affect it let me no

can you be more specific about the crash?
try updating your graphics card drivers, and the gamepad drivers

all that happens is the pc doesnt seem to give any signal to the monitor. It happens just as i plug in my controller. I dont know how else to describe it, the screen goes black and tells me "no signal", and wont give signal again until i unplug the pc from the wall and reset it.
All driver are up to date except one of the controllers, which tells me it cant find the device when i try to update drivers, and wont update without it. This is even when windows knows the device is there.

sorry i cant be more specific

uninstall both your controller drivers
goto:
start->run->cmd.exe
type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 and press enter
then goto:
start->run->devmgmt.msc
then goto
view->show hidden devices
find and uninstall drivers
reboot
let windows automatically install the drivers when they are plugged in
