Alt + Tab my game
I don't know why but I cannot Alt + Tab my Counter Strike to minimize the game. Someone told me that maybe its because of my keyboard. I have a Logitech G-15 maybe that is the problem?

an easier way to alt-tab is just press the windows button
that is the button next to the ctrl and alt on the left side of your keyboard
but since you have a logitech g-15 make sure you enable that button with the
switch on your keyboard

Hi

I've never played counterstrike, but a lot of games don't let you alt tab out of it. American conquest, battlefield 1942, etc just don't do anything. If you want to switch to another task, just ctrl alt delete and the screen will go to windows without the game being closed.

It has nothing to do with the keyboard (I'm typing on one of those right now).

You have to have another application/window running to alt-tab.

Try to open something like "My computer" or whatever, keep it running, then launch the game and try again.

What video card do you have, and do you have the latest drivers for it?

You can still Alt-Tab to your desktop. I do that all the time.

Although this is not a remedy to your alt-tab problem, you can make the game run in windowed mode by making a shortcut to the game and in the path to the shortcut, outside of the qoutes, add -windowed to it. Remember to put a space in front of it.

Fo rexample:
"C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe" -windowed

I have 4 copies of windows xp installed on different computers and I can't do that on any of them. if you use vista on the other hand you should be able to alt+tab without any trouble.

An alternative command to alt+tab is windows+D.

If you want to run counter strike in windowed mode then you can chose that in settings.

Pull up an internet browser before starting counter-strike, alt tab switches processes, but if you have no other processes it doesn't have anything to switch.
