Need advice on a video card...
I currently play World of Warcraft with the following system specs:

AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4600+
• 2.4GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache, 2000MHz System Bus

Standard memory 2048MB
Memory type DDR2-SDRAM

nVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE 128 MB Video Card

I am looking to get a ASUS EN8400GS SILENT/HTP/256M nVidia 8400GS Chipset 256MB DDR2 Dual Display PCI-Express Graphics Card. I am just wondering how much this will improve my framerates, and if it's actually worth the upgrade. Right now I run the game on lowest settings and I get between 25-35 FPS in wide open areas and 25-45 FPS in tighter areas.

Are my framerates going to improve dramatically enough that I can turn the game settings up and get a base of 55-60 FPS or not?

Any advice or help you have is greatly appreciated.

Go with atleaast a 8600 gt.

Try to find the cheapest video card is not gonna fix your problem. To play wow, you also dont need the best card.

I agree with the 8600. I consider the 8600 a decent gaming card, more than enough for most games, but not enough to run new games at the highest detail settings. It's a solid card, and I would consider it the best budget card available right now. They can be found for under $80 new, even cheaper if you're willing to go on eBay or something else. The 8600 has double the memory bandwidth of the 8400, as well as faster clock rates, and is just a better overall GPU.

get the 8600, completely worth the money
i would probably say you should get 60 fps
but i can't say, because i don't know what setting you run on
if its 1280x1024 and normal settings you should get 60 anywhere

on my computer i ran WoW on a VERY old Radeon X200, it ran beautifully on good settings even though my computer only has 1.4gb RAM and a single core 3.06Ghz processor it ran around 30-40fps in most places and that is preatty smooth (considering the human eye can supposedly see 40-50fps anyway), i really wouldn't bother spending money on a new card... my m8 ran WoW happily on an onboard 64mb card, however there was a bit of a difference with my card to his, mine was a bit faster and better looking but nothing either of us could be bothered spending money on
