Angry Sims Saving Issues
Now, here's the thing. I don't know how to check the hard drive space I have, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the saving problems I have.
I have the Everex Vista system, and when I try to save, or destroy a house, or evict a family, it comes up with an 'Error' sign.
Now, I've heard of running the program as the administrator. Here's the issue. I can't find the short cut. It didn't give me one when I installed the games.
I installed Sims, living large, house party, vacation, unleashed, superstar, and making magic.
When I look for the shortcut under 'maxis', it says that the folder is empty. So, I can't find the shortcut to put on my computer and then run as administrator.
So, I don't know how to run it as administrator, and I am 99.9999% positive that I have enough space on my computer, it's brand new.

Someone PLEASE help me. I'm really frustrated.
Also, will this be a problem on Sims 2? I was thinking of buying it, but there's no point if I have this problem.

Well, I've never heard of Everex, but you mentioned Vista, so I'm assuming you have a windows system. Sorry to hear that. lol. Anyway, I have both Sims and Sims 2 and have not had that problem, but if you recently installed it try re-installing it. And remember, they have to be installed in a paticular order. Look in whichever game manual that has all your expansion packs listed as far as what order they should be installed in. If you can't find a shortcut on the desktop or the menu, then I'm assuming your starting the game by putting in the disk. You can usually start the game and make a shortcut off the (.exe) file on the hard drive. It should be here "C:\program files\Maxis. However you might want to check for folders labled "EA" or "Electronic Arts". I'm also assuming your not in administrator mode because it's someone else's comp or someone set it up for you. But, that shouldn't make a difference. You may want to try EA tech support. That sounds like something they would have listed.

good luck and happy sim-ing.
( llamas! who'd a thunk it?)
